Never ever forget your body.

Your body is not an instrument that carries out what your mind devises. You are your body.

Learning again to listen is the only entrance to true art. Every seed of real creation begins with listening to the silence within yourself.

Sometimes you may need to be patient.

Always start clearly.

Look at what is already there, not what is not there.

A work of art must - first and foremost - be the most direct translation of the idea you want to convey.

Let your soul take the artistic decisions, not your ego.

Creating is not constructing. Creating is uncovering.

Maximize the potential of your medium to maximize the content of the work.

Rehearsing is preparing yourself for not being prepared.

Information is not the same as knowledge. Knowledge can only come into existence by experiencing information through the body. That is the only way craft manifests itself in a thinking performing body in the arts.

Style and signature are primarily an instinct.

Don’t attack your body with forms.

The transformation of a good performer is not about how someone else is, but about thinking like someone else, and behaving accordingly.

Through a pure form, time and space become tangible. A well-chosen and refined form ensures that the bodies will act more concretely in it. As a result, the viewer also gets more imagination space.

A content or quality of a work gets the right to exist through the grace of purifying its opposition. Because the more you focus directly on the wanted eloquence of the work, the more the viewer will only reveal and experience the opposite of it.

Acting in the arts is the awareness of all that doesn’t need to be performed.

Less is beautiful. Creation is elimination. Elimination is the ultimate form of elegance.

Beauty finds its purity and form only in true intimacy.

In the interest of the viewer giving focus is your main task/responsibility. (Prolonging the) Time is not the most important aspect of building up intensity in an artwork.

The pinnacle of an art experience (create, play or watch) is experiencing a totally free moment, an experience of total existence. That moment of complete being feels free because looking at the artwork creates a new reality.

It always seems impossible until it is.

If you want to be heard, you should whisper.

If it needn’t attract attention, make it fully present.
